Labuan Bajo Zero Waste City

On Flores in LabuanBajo ZeroWasteCity  This week we hand out NAZAVA waterfilters to high schools and vocational schools, promoting the use of tumblers and refilling in Labuan Bajo. This is part of IndonesianWastePlatform program funded by the Swedish EPA. Many of these youth will be working in the booming tourism sector in this booming tourism hotspot located next to KomodoNationalPark. We have no drinkable tapwater in Labuan Bajo; using these water filters is a great solution to reduce single-use plastic packaging, especially in remote regions far away from Java recycling sector.
